Frequently Asked Questions

What are your qualifications?

I am a qualified Nurse and Clinical Nurse Specialist in Dermatology and regulated by the Nursing & Midwifery Council. I am a member of the Aesthetics Complication Expert group (ACE) and have undertaken advanced clinical training and certification in all treatments performed. I have a MSc in Clinical Dermatology and strongly believe that ethics are crucial within the medical field of aesthetics, as they help to protect both patients and medical practices.

How do I know which treatment is for me?

I will always give my honest opinion on which treatment is right for you and recommend a bespoke treatment plan that will enhance your natural look. Each plan is individualised and tailored to meet your specific aesthetic needs.

Do Anti-wrinkle injections hurt?

Most clients report little to no discomfort during the injection procedure, no more than a small pinch. Topical numbing cream is available if you are anxious about the discomfort factors.

Is there any downtime with Anti-wrinkle injections?

Most clients go directly back to their day-to-day activities following treatment. I advise that you refrain from any excessive physical activity the day of your treatment, and that you don’t apply make-up over the injection points for 12-24 hours.

How long do Anti-wrinkle injections last?

Everybody is different. For most people, results can last between three to four months.

Do fillers hurt?

Depending on your individual pain tolerance, and treatment area, discomfort levels vary.  I offer a medical strength topical numbing agent to make filler injections as comfortable as possible. Most people report little more than mild discomfort.  Dental blocks are available for lip fillers if appropriate.

How long will my filler last?

Again, this is entirely case-specific. It depends on which area of the body you are treating, as well as how quick your metabolism is.  As a general rule, fillers can last between 6-18 months.

Is filler reversible?

In the unlikely event of a complication filler can be reversed following a full medical assessment and consent.  Reversal is not without its complications so will be discussed in full.  A full medical history and patch test will be performed for all individuals requiring this service.
